I am a PhD student in the the research group on PDE-constrained optimization of Volker Schulz since November 2017. I currently investigate numerical methods for nonlocal operators with truncated interaction horizon. This includes the efficient assembly and solution of linear systems of equations from finite element approximations of integral operators. Former topics have been statistical postprocessing and probabilistic weather forecasting.
